Castle Pines North HOA2 Home Owners Association Board continues its efforts to maintain and enhance our neighborhood environment. A few of the major highlights from the past year are:
- Reserve funding levels have increased from 34% to a current reserve funding level of 86%.
- The board adopted, posted, and published the Community Association’s Institute “Rights and Responsibilities for Better Communities” on our web-site.
- A successful financial audit for the year 2003. (If you are interested in reading more, please visit our web-site.)
- The west tennis court area has been resurfaced and converted into a family sports court that includes basketball, inline skating, hockey, tetherball, and other activities.
Our community enjoys having fun and if you attended the July 4
th celebration or the Summer Lau put on by the HOA2 Social committee, you would know why. The July 4
th celebration was a big success until Mother Nature decided to call. In addition to the Pool Opening, Winter Social, and Children’s Holiday parties, the social committee is adding a Halloween party this year just for ‘teens’!
If you were walking around the neighborhood this summer you probably noticed numerous block parties and neighborhood gatherings. On these walks around the neighborhood, you probably noted some other changes happening like:
- Updating the clubhouse basement with new floor tiles, shower benches, and fresh paint.
- The east tennis court area has had netting repaired and wind nets replaced, and will be resurfaced next summer.
- Attractive park benches have replaced old benches, garbage cans have been strategically placed in the community, the sand volleyball court is refurbished, and old cracked asphalt paths around the club house and pool have been replaced with new 4 foot concrete walkways.
- Repairs and maintenance items include fence slat replacement and repair, fence painting, parking lot repair and resurfacing, swimming pool pump and filter replacements, baby pool decorative tiling, landscaping tree removal and replacement, sprinkler repairs, flowerbed care, and replacement of the clubhouse roof.
For next year we are considering constructing a beautiful community pavilion on the original basketball cement pad to be used for family picnics and barbeques. Also, the main level of the clubhouse needs renovating and updating. If you are interested in working on either of these projects, please contact Rob Saxton.
The Board would like to thank all the numerous community members actively involved in all areas of the community. The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) is currently selecting homes to be awarded with “Best Yard” for this summer, and will look to select other homeowners in the future with “Best Home Improvements” awards. The social committee is staffed with great volunteers who work tirelessly to provide enjoyable activities. The tennis chairperson is actively developing new tennis programs. The clubhouse chairperson spends hours scheduling clubhouse activities, and manages maintenance and renovation duties. Our pool chairperson serves many hours providing keys and information to homeowners, while maintaining a safe and fun environment for all. Block captains and sub HOA chairs serve many hours to create our annual directory, welcome new homeowners, and provide pertinent community information.
Sincerely,
HOA2 Board of Directors, July 2004
