Glen Oaks HOA - 2 Qtr Meeting Minutes
Financials:
- Current Financials are on target for the year.
- Board discussed the 2006-07 budget and approved all items except for the 
front entrance project, as final estimates were still pending. Budget will 
be posted on the Glen Oaks website for all homeowners to view.
- Subsequent to the meeting, the Board approved the 2006-07 budget with the 
final estimate from the landscaping contractor.
Community:
- Front Entrance discussion on the latest estimate from the preferred 
contractor. Board voted to move forward with Annie Riggs' recommendation to 
hire ENVIRO-scapes for the front entrance improvement project - pending 
final estimate is in line with 2006-07 budget. Subsequent to meeting, 
contractor submitted bid below the target cost and Board has agreed to move 
forward with improvement project in October.
- The Ridge Golf course management company (Troon) has agreed to take over 
the mowing of our front entrance in exchange for a formal easement for golf 
carts crossing. This will save the Glen Oaks community approimately $4000 in 
annual landscaping expense. Troon has agreed to reimburse our lawyers up to 
$1000 for their review and approval. Subsequent to meeting, the HOA law firm 
has agreed to review the Troon documents for $1000 or less. The landscaping 
will be effective as soon as possible in show of good faith.
- The Glen Oaks website will have a new webmaster, Dovina Qu (pending 
successful interview). Dovina has volunteered to update and enhance the Glen 
Oaks website. Cathy Anderson has agreed to be the point person to review and 
approve all changes before posting. Subsequent to meeting, Laurie 
interviewed Dovina and has approved her going forward in this much needed 
volunteer position.
- Glen Oaks Summer Party will be held in Sept. The volunteer for this year's 
summer BBQ is Jadi Faul. Please contact Jadi to volunteer to help out.
Board Transition:
- Laurie O'Hara-Torres (president) will be stepping down from the Board 
effective Aug 1st, as she and her family are moving to CA.
- Rich Wiley will assume the President position. Annie Riggs will assume the 
Vice-president position. Cathy Anderson will assume the Secretary position. 
Andy Gillespie will remain the Treasurer.
- The Board is requesting volunteers from the community to serve as a 
Boardmember at large.
