TOPIC 3 Telemarketing Solicitation (thru 2-21-02)
2-21 resident Dale from Noble Ridge comments:

"I thought I would pass this on. I always wondered how to get on this list so I can cook dinner or nap in front of my TV without interruption:

The Colorado Anti-telemarketer bill was signed by Governor Bill Owens in June of 2001. If you want to put your phone number on the "No Call" list, you can do it only via the internet. There is no promotional budget to encourage people to sign up. Colorado No-Call depends on people like you to publicize the Colorado No-Call list. You can help spread the word by forwarding the following website link, to friends and family living in Colorado. If you are tired of telemarketers intruding on your personal privacy please click on the link below: http://www.coloradonocall.org/

Hope the community finds this as useful as I did."

TOPIC 4 Prices at the Ridge golf course (thru 5-17-02)
  5-17-02 Mike from StoneCroft:
I've played golf most of my adult life and really enjoy the individual challenge that golf offers. In the 4 years I've lived in Castle Pines North; just a few blocks from the Ridge Clubhouse, I've played the course once out of curiosity. It was an experience of a lifetime. I thoroughly enjoyed the outing on such a great course. However the cost to play is what makes it a rare event. I've played a lot of courses and frankly there are a lot of courses around that may not quite match the Ridge but where I can have a lot of fun at much less expense. In my opinion, Greens fees even for a course such as The Ridge should be under $50 bucks.

2-23-02 from a kvetching golf widow in CPN:

"I am told that the Season Passholders program at The Ridge course is a whopping $3,000 for 2002 (up $250 from last year). Yo, Momma - that is alot of money. It may seem like a bargain to veteran golfers but...

Anyone else besides me think it is way pricey??"

  7-2001 from a CPN resident in 2001:
"When is the Ridge going to encourage the local community to play their course by offering discounted season passes? The current price of $2750 seems extremely high, as does the $100 weekend rate."
