"Does anyone have thoughts on the Master Association dues increase of $116 (more than double). What improvements have you seen to justify this. This is not the economic times to increase dues."

"I must agree with the homeowner complaining about the newspapers. I pick up these "treasures" several times a week. Not only do they litter the area, but I have deep concerns that if a homeowner is away for a period of time and stops the Post or News, these little papers keep coming and it is apparent to anyone driving the area that the occupants are gone. Since these are not subscriptions, homeowners don't realize they need to contact the papers (two of them in Castle Rock). I think we need to have these papers on a subscription basis only and then the onus is on the homeowner to cancel them if they are going to be gone."

"Newspapers and Flyers: I am beginning to dislike the amount of flyers and newspapers that are being placed on my house every day. This weekend I noticed a delivery "family" for the small Daily Star paper speeding around my neighborhood and throwing papers on top of all the driveways in the neighborhood. Today I took a walk and counted about 30 of these newspapers on the side of the trail, in the gutter etc.. I called the Daily Star and voiced my concern that they were dramatically contributing to the amount of litter in the area. If you see the same in your neighborhood...please give them a call. I think that we should be able to hold advertisers and newspapers accountable for incidents such as this... especially when they drive too fast in residential neighborhoods and are too lazy to walk the paper up to the door. By the way, the the delivery vehicle was a blue Expedition that advertised a computer repair company named Geek School or something approximate to that title." |
