Cherokee Ranch lies just to the southwest of CPN. According to the Ranch’s mission statement, they are “committed to preserving the natural environment, enhancing cultural life in Colorado, and providing educational opportunities devoted to western heritage, wildlife, and the art.” Its 3,124 acres of land provide a home for elk, birds and other wildlife and will always remain undeveloped.
