"We had Joe come out and give an estimate on putting air conditioning
in the upstairs of our house to help with the hot summers.
Joe gave us a profesional quote, estimate of time it would take
and a guarantee. He came out in March and performed the exact work
he said and accomplished it in the amount of time he estimated.
He came back in June to tune the unit to make sure it was operating
efficiently. Joe makes sure to return calls and keep you informed
of what is going on. His crew cleaned up every evening so you didn't
even know they were doing work.
He and his team are professionals and I would recommend them to
do heating and air."

of our central A/C. Did a lot of research, got a wide variety of
sizes and costs. Joe had the best price and product line. The installation
went without a hitch. They were professional and tidy too. Had another
friend use them and had the same result. I also checked their references
and was told of similar experience."

Basement
Finishing
    "Basements R Us" 303-791-1320, August 2003
Reviewer: Jennifer and Dan - Hidden Pointe
We just finished our basement with Basements R Us and are extremely happy. They are professional, reliable and committed to ensuring you are happy with the results. One item that impressed us right away was that they gave us a timeline calendar so we knew what work would be done every day. It was great to watch the progress and track it knowing that they were exactly on schedule. This was OUR first time for this type of a project and they were patient with my many questions along they way. In addition, there were even some minor items that I wanted to change and they were very accommodating. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience using Basements R Us.

"Basement Finishing with Ultimate Care", Nov-Dec,
2002
Reviewer: Katy and John from NobleRidge
"It took me 6 years to talk my husband into finishing our basement.
When it was time to interview and get bids from contractors, I got
nervous, because you only have one chance to get it right. Like
most people we network with friends for recommendations which is
how we found Scott Stevens, owner of American Basement Co.
Scott's
initial meeting yielded a blueprint of the ideas and desires discussed
before we paid a cent or signed a contract. I was instantly impressed
with his forethought in how the space would be used and how the
1100 sqft would function. My decision was made to go with American
Basement Company when Scott emphasized that he strives to make the
basement look like part of the house, not a basement. The supports,
beams, duct work etc., are all concealed within the walls and ceiling
so that it does not look like a basement covered with drywall. Scott
has the aesthetic ability and eye for design that make his work
far superior in this industry. This was confirmed by the praise
that his subcontractors gave to us all along the way. They all said
that his work is superior to most of the basement companies that
they have ever been associated with.
Bottom
line... we hire someone to do a job that we cannot. We put our faith
in that person to do right by us. What a pleasure to know that we
were not taken advantage of in any respect and that we got quality
craftsmanship every step of the way."
    "Basement Finishing", December, 2002
Reviewer: Scott and Theresa from KnightsBridge
"Theresa and I were contemplating for a long time on who to
contract with to finish our basement. We had over 2,000 square feet
of space and wanted to hire someone not only who was experienced
and reliable, but a company that would accent the basement to complement
the entire upstairs. Scott Stephens not only took the time to draw
a blueprint of our basement, but loaded it onto a computer where
we could take a 3-D tour of our future basement. IT WAS AWESOME!!
The contractors that Scott uses are professional and show up when
they say they are going to show up, and that says something for
itself. American Basement Company finished our basement in a very
timely manner, but also a basement that will be enjoyed for many
years to come!!!!"
    "Basement Finishing", June-August, 2002
Reviewer: Grace from KnightsBridge
"We had excellent results using Scott Stephens with American
Basement Company to finish our basement. He uses a computer program
to design the plan so you can get an idea of what the finished product
will look like. Excellent company to deal with from start to finish.
Highly recommended."

    "Quality deck refinishing", October, 2001
Reviewer: Sharon from Kings Crossing
"Owner Dave Anderson and his crew are true craftsmen. They
took great care in washing, sanding, and hand brushing every inch
of our deck and play set, all at a very reasonable price. We didn't
pay a dime until after we had a chance to inspect the completed
work. His crew even stained our very thirsty play set twice at no
extra charge. Also, Dave uses high-quality stain, not the cheap
stuff that evaporates in a few weeks. The pride in workmanship shows
-- no stain on the house, no splinters on the rails. We couldn't
be happier with the results."

"Sloppy, unprofessional, AND dishonest", April,
2001
Reviewer: Kings Crossing resident
"We contracted with American Deck Care to refinish our deck
nearly a year ago. Unfortunately, they damaged our deck, our house,
and various outdoor furnishings in the process. The power washing
was apparently done incorrectly and damaged much of the wood, they
did not rinse the debris or sand the wood (as promised) before reapplying
stain, and they did not mask off the house (as promised) before
spraying, resulting in much overspray onto our siding, windows,
screens, and back door. They also managed to get stain all over
nearby patio furniture and toys, decorative rock, and a concrete
patio. At the same time, the stain on the deck was splotchy and
uneven and they missed several bare wood spots altogether. Needless
to say, we were appalled. To make matters worse, American Deck Care
charged our credit card in full ($746) prior to completing the work,
after they specifically stated that we would not be charged until
the job was completed to our satisfaction.
In
response to our complaints, the owner, Mr. Jake Murray, promised
to clean up the mess and "make things right." However, he has been
much less than professional throughout this ordeal and has outright
lied to us and our credit card company (we attempted to dispute
the charges and are still in limbo). I regret ever contacting this
"business" and would advise anyone and everyone to steer far clear."

"Jon from Highpoint Decks built a deck for us. I identified
5 companies to investigate; 2 did not return my calls, 1 matched
their low price with poor work, and Colorado Custom Decks exceeded
their high quality with stratospheric prices. Jon designed and built
a wonderful deck at 40% less than Colorado Custom quoted. Jon is
very professional, flexible, knowledgeable, customer-oriented, and
delivers what he promises. Having built my own decks on previous

hard to please. I am extremely happy with the deck he built for

Accolades for going above and beyond what I expected, March,
2003
Reviewer: D. Wiles from Forest Park
"I want to give well deserved accolades to Don Szynskie, the
owner and technician of Don's Garage Doors, Inc. He did repair work
on my garage door Monday and Monday night the door opener quit working.
I spoke to Don Tuesday morning and he said everything was working
fine when he left. I took the door opener owner's manual and worked
thru the troubleshooting section with no luck. I called Don to see
if he had any suggestions and he was having lunch
in the area and drove right over. Don correctly diagnosed the motor
capacitor as being the problem, had one in his truck, replaced it,
put everything back together that I had taken apart, and only charged
me for the cost of the capacitor. Don went way beyond and above
what he needed to do. He is on Tom Martino's Troubleshooter Referral
List and I have written to Tom that I want Don' Garage Doors to
get the "Fame"; stamp. Don had only worked on the door
itself so he and I knew he had nothing to do with the opener failure
but he went out of his way to fix the problem and so has inspired
me to thank him by posting this note of praise for his extraordinary
efforts. He went the extra mile to help me out without even being
asked to do so, I only asked him for suggestions and he said he
would be right over to check things out."

plus having to chase them to finish the job. What a mess. Things
