To the Editor:
a $100 million bond question and a $17 million dollar budget override. The total cost of both ballot questions would amount to less than $3.50 per month on a $291K home.
Passage of the capital bond question will provide the means to manage the continuing explosive growth in student population, and help avoid a future of overcrowded schools. Passage of the budget override question will allow the district to maintain class sizes, and enable the recruitment and retention of the best teachers. A vote for both ballot questions will maintain the high quality of our schools at a low cost. A top-ranked school district is why families choose to live in our community. And a great school system means strong property values, a benefit to all members of the community.
This is an opportunity to send a message that our community cares about the quality of our educational system. I urge all community members to cast a YES vote for both issues. Vote for a strong school system supporting our strong community!
