I cannot say enough about the quality of work and attention to detail provided by Dave Anderson and his daughter in restoring our deck. The deck was in terrible condition and now looks brand new. Dave was wonderful to work with and very fair in price.

Dave Anderson and his crew did an exceptional job refinishing our two decks, which were flaking, peeling and looking shabby. Their attention for detail was impressive and our decks now look "better than new". All this for a very fair price. Dealing with these folks was a joy! I highly recommend Wood Protectors.

Outdoor Escapes (http://www.outdoor-escapes.com) was able to build an unbelievable deck. They are the only company in Colorado who can actually bend the Trex material. They also installed a beautiful hand rail that looks similar to the iron balusters that are in my house...baskets and all. I am very pleased with the work they have performed, and I would recommend them to anyone. Side note...I love this website (www.cpnhoa.org), it have been very, very helpful in completing these projects on our new house...thank you so very much. I used Dave and the Wood Protectors team. I also read all the other reviews and I concur. He is a great person to work with. Ditto to all the other kudos given in earlier reviews. I wish all contractors worked like Wood Protectors.

Dave and his crew (The Wood Protectors) did a fantastic job. Very nice work, and a very reasonable price. In fact three to four hundred dollars less than other quotes. A very quality job. Started and finished when they said they would, and actually cleaned up after themselves. We are very pleased. Our 7 year old deck looks brand new!. Call them you will be pleased!

"Owner Dave Anderson and his crew are true craftsmen. They took great care in washing, sanding, and hand brushing every inch of our deck and play set, all at a very reasonable price. We didn't pay a dime until after we had a chance to inspect the completed work. His crew even stained our very thirsty play set twice at no extra charge. Also, Dave uses high-quality stain, not the cheap stuff that evaporates in a few weeks. The pride in workmanship shows -- no stain on the house, no splinters on the rails. We couldn't be happier with the results."

"We contracted with American Deck Care to refinish our deck nearly a year ago. Unfortunately, they damaged our deck, our house, and various outdoor furnishings in the process. The power washing was apparently done incorrectly and damaged much of the wood, they did not rinse the debris or sand the wood (as promised) before reapplying stain, and they did not mask off the house (as promised) before spraying, resulting in much overspray onto our siding, windows, screens, and back door. They also managed to get stain all over nearby patio furniture and toys, decorative rock, and a concrete patio. At the same time, the stain on the deck was splotchy and uneven and they missed several bare wood spots altogether. Needless to say, we were appalled. To make matters worse, American Deck Care charged our credit card in full ($746) prior to completing the work, after they specifically stated that we would not be charged until the job was completed to our satisfaction.
In response to our complaints, the owner, Mr. Jake Murray, promised to clean up the mess and "make things right." However, he has been much less than professional throughout this ordeal and has outright lied to us and our credit card company (we attempted to dispute the charges and are still in limbo). I regret ever contacting this "business" and would advise anyone and everyone to steer far clear."

"Jon from Highpoint Decks built a deck for us. I identified 5 companies to investigate; 2 did not return my calls, 1 matched their low price with poor work, and Colorado Custom Decks exceeded their high quality with stratospheric prices. Jon designed and built a wonderful deck at 40% less than Colorado Custom quoted. Jon is very professional, flexible, knowledgeable, customer-oriented, and delivers what he promises. Having built my own decks on previous houses and being something of a perfectionist, I am typically pretty hard to please. I am extremely happy with the deck he built for us."
