I highly recommend Joe Duran for guitar lessons. His enthusiasm and encouragement make him a great teacher. His passion for and knowledge of rock 'n' roll bring a depth of expertise to his class that is difficult to find. He has played in and been associated with many rock bands over the years (get him to tell you about Santana!). If you want to learn how play your favorite rock songs - or if you have a son like mine who used to dread practicing his guitar - Joe's the teacher for you. My son does not think of practice as a chore any more - he thinks of it as jamming, and he does it for hours now. Joe's love of the music is contagious, and he is generous and patient about sharing his knowledge with his students. Just a great instructor!
