"UPS store near Safeway - very expensive" December 2003

I wanted to let you know of a comparison I did with the UPS store and the US Post Office. When shipping a small parcel to the UK, I was told from UPS it would be $18.90. Horrified as that was more than what the present inside cost, I took the package to the post office and paid $8 to mail it - same arrival date. Yes, its convenient, but thought I would share the comparison in price!
