As a registered investment advisor with 17 years’ experience in planning and financial management, I believe proper planning now will reduce bills we pay in the future as the District grows to serve 10,000 residents. My experience with municipal debt issues can help in prudently paying down our bonds, restructuring the debt we carry, and minimizing the taxes you pay.
Last year I helped the District’s second largest customer (HOA1) create technical operations materials detailing best practices for its swimming pool and irrigation system. Similarly, I support updating the District’s documentation to increase productivity, reduce costs, and foster a greater customer-service orientation.
I’ll work to fine tune conservation measures to ensure they are equitable and effective; identify prudent renewable alternatives to the wells we rely upon for our water supply; and develop policies and procedures for the use, operation, and upkeep of community parks. Eight years of prior work history has given me insight into geologic, engineering, and water quality topics encountered in district operations.
I’ve lived in Castle Pines North since 1986, served as board president of HOA#1; chaired its Finance, Long Range Planning, and Recreation committees; and currently serve on its Open Space committee - which identifies prudent ways to conserve water, reduce operating costs, and augment appearances.
I’ve worked on numerous community issues with Douglas County Planning, the school district, and the Master Association. I offer active leadership, sensible guidance, and pragmatic direction in prioritizing and implementing the District’s agenda. I’ll do a good job, and I appreciate your vote.
