We
received a solid response rate to the CPN Asks April Survey.
Can you imagine a world without the World Wide Web? For many, the
Internet has become an integral part of how we work and often play.
April's questions will help us determine how the Internet shapes our
community. Thanks to everyone who participated. Now the facts... |

"I
think that local advertising is a great way for business owners to
let us know about what they have to offer. It would be nice to receive
a resident discount or local coupon was a way of encouraging us to
get to know and use their services. It sounds like a win/win situation
to me" |

2001: |
"I
just realized you had a website. Need to get the word out..." |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
"I
am practical and understand that advertising will help pay for the
site. However, Internet advertising can become very intrusive incorporating
sound and even pop-up windows...I think if advertising is allowed,
strict guidelines should be created and enforced." |
|
|
|

|

|
"Let's
keep it very local. I don't like to get a coupon and find out it is
an Arvada business. I would like to support the local businesses...mention
they are CPN" |

"It
doesn't really matter to me, some local coupons would be kinda cool
though" |

"Keep
this as a .org - no outside influences. Costs should be minimal" |

Advertising will slowly make its way onto the web site. However, in keeping
with the concerns expressed (and shared by your Unofficial Webmistress
who is not nearly so kind as you good folks about jumping, twitching
things), we will keep appearance and relevance as key issues.
