POOL SEASON The pool will open on Saturday, May 29 and close on Saturday, Sep. 11, 2004. We have heard your requests for earlier and later hours and have worked with Team Colorado to extend hours wherever possible. In general, pool hours will be 9 am to 9 pm, however, Tuesday and Thursday mornings the pool will open at 6 a.m., Saturday at 7:30 a.m. We have also extended the swim times on Wed., Thurs., and Fri. to 10 p.m. Please see HOA2website or pool posting for further details on specific dates and times. We also are invited to swim early mornings at the HOA1 pool on Mon., Wed., and Fri. at 7:00 a.m.
Swimming lessons will begin on June 7. Each session will consist of eight-half-hour lessons, Monday - Thursday over a 2 - week period. The cost for the lessons is $70 per student. As long as there is interest, new sessions will be scheduled every 2 weeks. Private lessons are also available. Please contact Team Colorado directly at (303)690-3880 if interested.
HOA2 will again be hosting a swim team. The swim team season will be from June 7th to July 25. We will participate in competitive meets with other neighborhood swim teams. Practice will be Monday - Thursday. The cost is $150 per team member (+registrations fee and swim team swimsuit). Please contact Team Colorado directly at (303)690-3880 if interested. There is a meeting at the HOA1 clubhouse on Saturday, May 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon for all interested parties. The swim team will only occupy lap lanes for one hour each day and one Saturday morning for a swim meet at our pool. Those who participated last year had a great experience and we anticipate more of the same.
2004 POOL RULES
Only persons residing in CPNHOA#2 and their guests are permitted to use the pool. Team Colorado will conduct all swim lessons and swim team, and provide all lifeguard and pool maintenance services.
Minors that pass a lifeguard administered swim test may enter the pool area upon lifeguard approval Swimmers who cannot pass a lifeguard administered swimming test must be accompanied by a responsible adult or sibling 14 years or older.
Lifeguards may require anyone to take a basic swim test to verify their swimming ability. ALL POOL USERS who cannot pass a basic skills swim test must be within the grasp of a competent swimmer at all times!
THE LIFEGUARD WILL NOT SHALL NOT be considered a supervisor of your children, or your babysitter, devote full attention to any one individual for extended periods of time, or engage in conversations while in the chair on duty. If you need to speak with the lifeguards, please seek either the supervisor on duty or wait until the lifeguard is not actively watching the pool.
The pool gate must be kept locked at all times This practice will help prevent young children from wandering away from the play structure and finding their way into the pool area. Please don't ask the lifeguard to let you in, and please NEVER block the gate open.
The pool enclosure will be closed during thunder/lightning as determined by the lifeguards for the safety of pool patrons.
Lifeguard Breaks will occur as needed during the last ten minutes of each hour the pool is open. All persons shall exit the pool during this break period. During these breaks you should expect to see lifeguards eating, making personal phone calls, reading, etc. Please be patient if occasionally maintenance needs require that the pool remained closed for a few minutes in addition to these break periods.
THE LIFEGUARD SHALL enforce all rules at all times and have authority regarding pool use and safety, and must be obeyed at all limes.
Vulgar remarks or disrespectful comments may result in expulsion and/or suspension from the facility. Water and alcohol are never a good combination. Persons under the influence of alcohol will not be allowed to use the facility. Pushing, dunking, horseplay, or other dangerous play will not be allowed. Diving is allowed in deep-end only. Inappropriate entries from the deck or bulkhead are not permitted. Please be considerate of other swimmers. Swimsuits or swim shorts must be worn in the water. Cut-off shorts are not allowed. Running, rough play, or excessive noise is forbidden in the pool enclosure and bathhouse areas (i.e. loud radios, CD players etc.). Smoking is not permitted in the pool enclosure. Glass containers are not permitted in the pool enclosure. Animals are not allowed in the pool enclosure. (Service animals are an exception). Restrooms in the clubhouse basement are available to swimmers during lifeguard hours. As a courtesy to one another, please help keep the rest room areas as clean and as orderly as possible. Please help keep the pool enclosure clean. MEMBERS AND GUESTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN TRASH.
Groups brought to the pool by a registrant. Large groups or parties must have prior permission from the pool committee chair in order to use the facility and must pay Team Colorado for any additional lifeguard coverage needed. Please contact Cyneil Saxton at 720-733-8378 for pool availability of groups that will require additional lifeguard coverage. If children are in the water, the supervising adults must accompany them or sit at poolside within a few feet of the children.
Homeowners renting the clubhouse who also wish their guests to use the pool in conjunction with their clubhouse function are required to notify the pool committee chair and Team Colorado of their party plans. This should be done at the time the clubhouse is rented. You may not rent the pool for the exclusive use of your party, however if you are going to include the use of the pool or pool area in your rental plans, additional lifeguard fees may also apply. These additional fees are due prior to the time of use.
Valuables are brought to the pool at your own risk Please put your name and phone number on all items brought to the pool (noodles, toys, etc.). We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Items left at the Pool will be held for 7 days. After that time items will be subject to disposal.
Homeowners are responsible for family and guests. Please care for pool furniture and pool facilities as if they were your own property. Do not drag chairs, tables, or umbrellas across the cement. Homeowners will be required to reimburse the Association for any intentional damages caused to any part of the pool or facility (including pool furniture) by their family and guests.
Vandalism and trespassing will be prosecuted Jumping the pool enclosure fence is prohibited. Persons may not use the pool when lifeguards are not present. No one will be permitted in the pool enclosure after hours. Anyone found in the pool enclosure outside regular hours will be considered trespassing and will be prosecuted.
In the event of an emergency the pool will be cleared. All injuries on the premises should be reported immediately to the pool manager or lifeguard. Obnoxious, intoxicated, or unwelcome persons will be expelled from the pool area, losing pool privileges for that day. In severe cases, after one warning the Douglas County Sheriff shall be summoned.
Should the pool become overcrowded at any time the lifeguards may temporarily limit the number of guests admitted.
Baby Pool Area Guardians of the children in the baby pool must remain within the baby pool perimeter fence at all times. The baby pool fence gate must not be propped open and should remain latched. The lifeguard’s line-of-sight for the baby pool area must remain clear and unobstructed.

Please familiarize yourself and discuss the pool rules with your household. If you submitted an acknowledgement form in 2003, that is still on file, you do not need to resubmit a form this year. If you did not turn in your form last year or are new to the area, please return this form as detailed below.
