We were lucky... no one died, no massive property loss. Which is not to say there were no casualties - tree limbs, patio covers, muscles unused to the persistent shoveling. But there were moments when we all pitched in to remind us we are, after all, a community — people lending a hand for the sake of lending a hand. |
