Castle Pines North has many options when looking for recreation. Not only can residents get out and take advantage of the 13 miles of trails surrounding the community they can also enjoy CPN’s parks and other recreation sites.
CPN children looking to play a variety of sports both competitive and recreational have a number of options to choose from in the CPN sports database. If a league would like to have their information posted on this site please send information to sports@cpnhoa.org.
Although the plans to build CPN’s own recreation center were narrowly defeated in a 2002 vote, there are neighboring recreation centers that residents can use. Most centers offer classes, pools and workout facilities. CPN residents will have to pay a nonresident fee when using these facilities.
CPN swimmers have a choice of two different swim leagues that service the community. The Castle Pines North Piranhas began competing in 2003 and are part of the non-competitive C.A.R.A League. Managed by Team Colorado, the goal of the team is to learn to swim effectively, be part of the team, and most importantly have fun. The team practices at neighborhood pools throughout the summer months and competes in a variety of meets with nearby swim teams.
The Castle Crocs began their inaugural season in 2006. As part of Mountain Hi Swim League, swimmers are monitored while competing and during practice, to ensure that strokes are completed in the appropriate manner. This level of competition and attention assures that swimmers will receive instruction where needed. The team practices at neighborhood pools throughout the summer months and competes in a variety of meets in the south metro area. Qualifying team members have the opportunity to compete in dual, preliminary, championships and all star meets.
