The answer depends on who owns the property. Within CPN, open spaces are primarily owned and managed by the Metro District though, in some cases, Douglas County is the owner and manager. In addition, open spaces within an HOA are maintained by the Neighborhood HOAs. The CPN Master Association does not own property, and does not manage landscape maintenance.
With the County, Metro District, and 30 neighborhood homeowner associations involved, determining who is responsible for maintaining the open space in CPN can be quite complex. If you have a question about a specific location, the Metro District has a map that identifies the owner of every open space parcel. Contact the Metro District Parks & Open Spaces Manager.
