Residents of Castle Pines North who have been here a while remember when BankWest conducted business from a double-wide trailer in a field where the BP gas station now stands.
That was back in April of 1998, when Sandy Larsen, now the President of the Stroh Ranch branch, first opened BankWest. Less than five years later, the growing bank had moved into its current building at 7505 Village Square Lane.
John Davis has been the CEO of BankWest for a year. He is proud of the bank’s business-friendly reputation that also appeals to the local consumer. “Most banks want to do everything for everybody, or a small number of things for everybody,” Davis says. Bank West, on the other hand, has a focused niche, providing the business customer with everything he or she needs from a bank.
“There are two very specific services we offer,” continues Davis. First, the bank provides a treasury management service. Bank West helps business customers put their cash flow to its best productive use, taking advantage of the latest technology to control cash transfers, know one’s cash position at all times, and stay up-to-date with fraud protection.
The second “unique and superior” service offered by BankWest is wealth management, especially for business owners. Ownership has unique tax implications. Business owners need to manage their assets from early in the life of the business when, for example, obtaining a loan is the most important thing, to later on, when assets need to be managed “beyond trust services.”
Although the bank’s focus is on businesses, Davis is happy that neighbors find the bank convenient. “VIP treatment and service are enjoyed by all our customers,” Davis says.
BankWest currently has four branchesColorado Springs, DTC, Stroh Ranch, and Castle Pines, with two more on the drawing board. CP branch President Donna Lance welcomes customers to the Castle Pines location. Phone 303-814-8149 for friendly and convenient service.
