Being an avid coffee drinker was what sparked Brenda Bloemke’s interest in owning her own coffee shop. She had been working in the telecommunications industry for 25 years, and finally decided, “I’m ready to move on, follow my dream, and open my own, local coffee shop!”
And that's how BB’s Coffee House in the Village Square Shopping Center came to be.
Before opening her shop, Bloemke spent endless hours researching the coffee shop business, visiting other shops, searching for the perfect location, writing a business plan, and making up her own coffee recipes at home.
As a result, all of her hard work has paid off, and she celebrated her first year in business in May!
Some unique aspects of BB’s, that you just can’t find at other chain-types of coffee shops are free Wi-fi Internet access just bring your laptop and plug it in. BB's also features homemade food such as burritos, quiche, and made-to-order sandwiches, and a relaxed, warm, “homey” atmosphere.
“We offer fresh homemade food, and the coffee we offer originates right here in Colorado. The brand is called, 'The Steaming Bean,' and it is from Telluride,” says Bloemke. One of the specialty coffees offered is the “Guerilla,” a blend of coffee, steamed milk, chocolate, and banana.
BB’s draws local “regulars,” who enjoy a cup of coffee each morning. Bloemke believes that her shop offers a friendly environment, and CPN residents also enjoy supporting a local business.
“I love meeting all the new people who have recently relocated to our neighborhood," said Bloemke. "I have been lucky in many ways to meet the locals in Castle Pines North, through word of mouth, people driving by and stopping in, and also being asked to supply the coffee for the Master Association's Welcome Coffee. I also have several groups that meet here, and the groups keep growing!" Visit BB's at 7437 Village Square Drive.
