A native of Colorado and a graduate of the University of Colorado, Doctor Matthew Rolfson has a vested interest in the Castle Pines North community. After serving three years in the United States Navy Dental Corps, which included a general practice residency in California, Dr. Rolfson and his family are happy to be back in Colorado.

“We plan to be here for a long time,” said Rolfson, “and we are hoping to grow with the community.” When Rolfson purchased the practice from another dentist in Castle Pines North in 2002, there were approximately 400 patients. Only five years later, Rolfson’s practice has grown to more than 2000 patients, and most of his staff has been with him since the beginning.

“We like to get to know our patients, and we want the community to get to know us too,” said Rolfson. “We have a great office and a great team, and that makes a difference.”

Castle Pines Dental Care provides general dental care for adults and children, as well as cosmetic dental services and professional teeth whitening. Dr. Rolfson has extensive training in implant restoration, and has what many consider a unique approach to cosmetic dentistry.

“My philosophy is different because I do not believe in ‘overhauling’ an otherwise healthy mouth,” he said. The trend in dentistry seems to favor replacing everything old for the “latest and greatest”, but Rolfson advocates doing what is in the best interest of the patient, and sometimes that means letting what has worked for a patient for years, keep working.
