The science of sunless tanning is precisely that – a science. Understanding Ultra Violet (UV) Rays and the process by which skin tans is what Leigh Brown, owner of Exclusive Tans in Castle Pines North (CPN), has spent the last few years educating herself and her employees about.

“Having a trained staff who understands our customers’ needs and who can help set them up with a tanning plan that is right for them is our priority,” said Brown. “All of our employees are Smart Tan Certified, which means they have received training and are educated about the products and services we provide.”

Exclusive Tans offers the latest in tanning equipment with five different levels of beds, ranging from lower-level beds with minimal UVB exposure to the Ultra Bronze Tanning Experience bed (which actually talks to its users.) According to Brown, “Your skin doesn’t know the difference between the UV exposure it gets from the sun or the tanning beds. We offer a controlled environment for tanning comfort and convenience.”

In addition to tanning beds, Exclusive Tans offers infrared body wraps - a weight control, inch loss, pain management, cellular detoxification, and physical therapy system. A variety of indoor tanning lotions to enhance a tan are available for purchase, as well as skincare products and nutritional supplements. Novelty designer bags, tan-through swimwear, and Crocs brand shoes are also for sale in the store.

For those in need of an immediate tan, Exclusive Tans offers UV-Free or “airbrush” tanning which is applied by a technician (at its other Castle Rock store.) All tanning packages are transferable between Brown’s three Castle Rock locations, the newest being the CPN store, and all locations honor most competitor’s coupons.

Exclusive Tans is conveniently located at 7280 Legae Road, Unit K, in the Shoppes at Castle Pines. Store hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Due to changes in the franchise, all three Castle Rock Executive Tan locations have recently changed names to Exclusive Tans.
