Great Clips - A Cut Above

“The nice thing about our store is that you can come in and get a quality haircut within 10 to 15 minutes,” according to store owner Phil Catalina. At Great Clips, success has been built around one simple goal: Making sure customers get the right haircut every time without a long wait.
The professionally-trained stylists at Great Clips take special care to listen to every customer to get a clear understanding of personal style and taste, so each customer leaves feeling satisfied with the finished product.

“We attend on-going training classes to keep up with current trends and fashions, from school–age kids to career men and women,” said store manager of three years Shana Shimmin. “When people’s tastes and styles change, we can change with them.”

Great Clips offers a variety of services, including shampooing, styling, trims (bangs, neck, and beards), perms, and conditioning treatments. It also carries a wide range of hair care products (Matrix, American Crew, Nioxin, and Great Clips) to keep styles looking great. Everybody’s hair is a little different, and stylists recommend products that will enhance and complement hair to keep styles looking fresh.

Customers get salon-quality services, without the salon prices. Special reduced rates are also available for children younger than 10 and seniors 65 and older.

Tracy Montieth, a long-time customer of stylist Laura Bailey (pictured above), recently got his hair cut and remarked that he got a great clip this time. Bailey corrected him, as they both chuckled, saying, “Tracy, you get a great clip every time!”

No appointments are necessary, and Great Clips is open evenings and weekends. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Although the holiday gift-giving frenzy is over, consider a Great Clips gift card for any future hard-to-buy-for friends or family. Call 303-660-1871 or just stop in at 7280 Lagae Road, in the King Soopers Shopping Center, for a visit or a cut.

“We feel we have worked hard to build a positive rapport with the community,” said Shimmin. “And we are very appreciative that residents continue to choose us as their salon.”
