Plum Creek Catering – Event Catering with Fine Dining Detail

by Terri Wiebold

Husband and wife team Jeffrey Rubach and Allison Prescott recently celebrated a year of cooking in Castle Pines North. November 2008 marked the one-year anniversary of Plum Creek Catering’s unique arrangement of leasing space in Castle Cones, located at the Shoppes at Village Square.

“This spot is ideal for us,” said Prescott, “because it is hard to find a kitchen to cook out of if you are not an actual restaurant.” Prescott and her husband have both worked in the restaurant industry for more than 30 years, Prescott graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in New York, and Rubach refining his fish and seafood cooking skills in Hawaii and Alaska. Both owned the Sedalia Grill for five years prior to starting Plum Creek Catering, and have found that keeping it simple and being their own bosses definitely suits them.

Plum Creek Catering offers a fine dining experience for weddings, private parties, corporate events and other special occasions. In addition to amazing food, they provide professional staff, delivery services, chafing and serving dishes, and they can coordinate any requested rentals necessary for an event. Whether delivering box lunches for a business meeting or serving a formal wedding dinner, Plum Creek Catering makes food presentation something unique.

Prescott shared that one of the nicest compliments she ever received from a client was, “You are the most detailed caterer I have ever dealt with – you don’t just consider the food, but all the other details as well.” Prescott agreed that her attention to the fine details is what helps to set Plum Creek Catering apart.

Prescott says she loves cooking, but enjoys baking the most. Her big book of recipes includes things like her Great Aunt’s pumpkin bread, decadent homemade dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake, and other family recipes. The menus they offer can be customized to any theme or event, and range from American barbeque to Mexican to Italian to unique seafood dishes. They offer appetizers and hors d’oeuvres, salads, entrees and accompaniments, and desserts. They prepare all food from scratch and use the freshest ingredients at all times – including herbs and vegetables from their personal garden.

Call Plum Creek Catering and schedule the event of the year! For menu options, pricing and information call 720-341-3533 and ask for Allison.
