Solid Life Christian Center (SLCC) has grown from humble beginnings of just a few members in March, 2004, to more than 100 members present every Sunday morning.
“My heart’s desire is to help residents of Douglas County build strong families and relationships,” says Russ Stutzman, Senior Pastor and co-founder of SLCC.
SLCC’s core values include integrity, excellence, courage, consistency, relevancy, and honor. They offer a variety of ministries for the purpose of getting people together and building “solid lives.” A few ministry examples include: Marriage on the Rock, Home Improvement (for men), Ladies of Life (weekly Bible studies), Kids Club and UTurn (for teens).
The church prides itself on serving the Castle Pines North community. “We pour our hearts into the community,” says Stutzman.
SLCC often sponsors many CPN Master Association social events. Members of the church recently assisted with the annual “Taste of Timber Trail,” and they have also provided workers at the Master Association’s Easter egg hunt and the Movie in the Park. The church will also help sponsor the Master Association’s upcoming holiday carriage rides in December.
A Colorado native, Stutzman and his wife, Becky, decided that Douglas County, and specifically Castle Pines North, was right the place to develop SLCC.
“We have a dream of one day owning church property somewhere in or near Castle Pines North,” says Stutzman.
Solid Life hosts Sunday services at Timber Trail Elementary School at 10 a.m. For more information about SLCC, call 303-799-3914 or visit the SLCC website at www.solidlifechristiancenter.org.
