LAST CHANCE FOR Myrick’s PROPERTY

The negotiations to purchase the Myrick property as open space are progressing

THANKS, in large part to the community support shown by your pledges! In August, the Lone Tree City Council deferred the FINAL VOTE on Bill Myrick’s annexation proposal until Tuesday, October 7th. Now WE NEED YOUR HELP to write, phone, or e-mail the Douglas County Commissioners and Division of Open Space.

1) Identify yourself as a contributor to the Bluffs Preservation Pledge Campaign which has collected over $100,000 in pledges toward the purchase of the entire 230 acres as open space!
2) State why you believe it is important to preserve this entire property.
3) Ask our County officials to contribute OUR tax money for this much-needed project in heavily populated Northern Douglas County.

A short letter is fine – or several people get together to sign one longer letter – whatever works, as long as you write/call as soon as possible! Enlist friends and neighbors to do the same – even if they didn’t pledge!

Many, many thanks for your continued support on this very important issue! REMEMBER – “This is the only remaining, privately owned undeveloped land along the Bluffs that form a natural boundary to the southern Metro area” (from the Lone Tree annexation proposal)
