What’s Open, and  What’s Not?

Commercial development in Castle Pines this spring has been lively.  As of press time, the following changes have occurred.

In the Shoppes at Castle Pines, also known as the King Soopers Center:   Chapters Bookstore and Café recently opened.  This independent bookseller is owned by Green Briar residents Ron and Rhonda Mizeur and their son, Chris.

Also this spring, Vagabond World Travel and Executive Tans moved into the center.

In the Village Square, we welcome Castle An, which offers Chinese Food for dine-in or carry-out, with delivery coming soon.  Bali Massage and Liberty Lending also moved in.

Between the Village Square and Safeway, the Big O Tires is now open.

And at the Castle Pines Marketplace (Safeway Center), both Arizona Tans and Lady of America Fitness Center have closed.  But watch for the opening later this spring  of Café de France, a bakery and café.

The retail center at the intersection of Happy Canyon Road and Santa Fe is nearing completion.  Known as the Village at Castle Pines, the following businesses are scheduled to move in: A bookstore/newsstand with a United States Post Office sub-station; three or four restaurants including Rodney’s, which has opened; Castle Creek Inn; a pizza shop; and possibly a Mexican restaurant.

Coming soon is the Village Fitness Health Club.  Also opening is Castle Creek Fresh Market, which will offer a “high-end, first-class food shopping experience,” according to developer Don Weaver.

In addition, the following are either open  or coming soon:  Aspenfalls – a full-service day spa, a nail salon, a hair salon, Garden Path – a flower shop that is now open, Pear Tree – a home and gift shop, a bakery/coffee shop, a jewelry store, a linen store, an equestrian store, a dry cleaner and a Guaranty Bank.

And further south in Castle Rock, the Kohl’s on Milestone Lane is scheduled to open on April 17.
