A group of local parents and community leaders have come together in a grass-roots effort to create a K-8 charter school in the Castle Pines area. American Academy at Castle Pines will utilize Core Knowledge® curriculum with an emphasis on math, science and technology, in addition to promoting civic values. The school is targeted to open grades K-6 for a traditional school year in the fall of 2005, pending charter approval.
