The southbound ramp from Castle Pines Parkway to I-25 will be closed from 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15 until 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 16. It will re-open for morning rush-hour traffic, and close again from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday.
The construction contractor for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be moving ramp barriers during the night hours, and will be pouring concrete paving during the daytime hours. Concrete must be poured during the warmest possible temperature, which is why the closure must occur during daytime hours. Making sure the concrete is poured during the warmest possible temperatures will hopefully preclude any future problems with the concrete. Closures for this phase of construction are not possible during weekend days/hours.
As in the past during southbound ramp closures, vehicles wanting to travel south on I-25 from Castle Pines Parkway will have use the northbound ramp, travel to Surrey Ridge, turn around, and then travel south.
