County Planner Mueller Moves On

County Planner Brad Mueller has left the Douglas County Planning Department.  Mueller, who served Douglas County for six years and worked on many projects both for Castle Pines North and other areas that directly affect the community.

Most recently, Mueller worked on the CC-20 parcel at the corner of Monarch Boulevard and Castle Pines Parkway.

Mueller’s departure has created a vacancy in the Douglas County Planning Department.  Projects that Mueller was working on have been distributed throughout the planning department and may be delayed.

Mueller accepted the position of assistant director in the Weld County planning department earlier this fall.  Weld County, found to the north of the Denver Metropolitan area, has taken over Douglas County’s status as the fastest growing County in the State.

Once seen as sleepy farming communities, towns like Firestone, Frederick, and Milliken have tripled their size since the 2000 census.  It was Mueller’s experience with a rapidly developing area that attracted Weld County.

Mueller's knowledge of the area and willingness to talk with residents has been greatly appreciated by the community.  He will be missed.
