Sign Up for the "Rock Slide" and Support Local Schools

Castle Pines North residents can support local schools and get in a little exercise on Saturday, November 5. The Rock Slide is a 5K run and a one-mile run/walk that begins, and ends, at Rock Canyon High School. The event will begin at 9 a.m.

The Rock Slide is one of the only races in the area that encourages child participation, and is geared for the entire family.

Registration for children is $10.00 and $25.00 for adults. Participants can sign-up up until race day. All participants receive a Rock Slide T-Shirt, a Rock Slide Wristband, and a sponsored goody bag. For more information about registration, check with participating schools, or log onto www1.dcsdk12.org

Last year, the event, formerly known as "The Buffalo Stampede," had over 750 participants with only two schools participating. Currently, seven schools, American Academy Charter, Buffalo Ridge Elementary, Redstone Elementary, Timber Trail Elementary, Wildcat Mountain Elementary, Rocky Heights Middle School and Rock Canyon High School are participating in the run, but all schools in Douglas County are invited to join.

Any businesses interested in sponsoring this unique community event please contact Stacie Sneider at 720-733-1291.
