Some of the best movies of the year open in theatres around Thanksgiving. This year, there will be an additional 12-screen theatre close to home.
The new theatre, Castle Rock Stadium 12, is still on schedule to open in November and will be located at the southeast corner of Meadows Parkway and Prairie Hawk Drive.
The theater has been designed to be the centerpiece of a proposed “town center” complete with restaurants and shops. Castle Rock Stadium 12 will feature the following amenities: stadium seating for 2,200, state-of-the-art digital sound systems, plush rocker seats, assisted listening devices and wheelchair accessibility
The theatre will be owned and operated by Colorado Cinemas, which is based in Aurora. The company operates eight other theatres with 85 screens throughout Colorado.
