I-25 Lane Closures Scheduled for June 20-24

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be periodically detouring traffic, closing the Castle Pines Parkway Bridge over I-25, closing lanes of I-25, and closing on- and off-ramps during the week of June 20 – June 24.

Scheduled Ramp Closures and/or Detours are as Follows:

One of the four I-25 on- and off-ramps at Castle Pines Parkway (could be any ramp at any given time) may be closed for a 1-2 hour period any time between June 20-24 to allow for striping, pouring concrete for the median, adding top soil to the area next to the highway, or completing shoulder work.

The short ramp closures will occur during the hours of 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., when traffic is at its lightest.

“Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to give any more advanced detour warnings than this,” said Nabil Haddad of CDOT.

Scheduled Lane Closures are as Follows:

Monday through Friday, June 20-24:  Both northbound and southbound right lanes and/ or left lanes will be closed between the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Both left and right lanes will never be closed at the same time, and there may be times within the five day period that no lanes are closed.  The closures will vary depending on the work being completed at the moment.

Also, there will be night work on June 21, 22, and 23 between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m., which will include a double left lane closure in both directions.  This means that only the right lane will be open both southbound and northbound.  The work will last between one and three days, depending on how long it takes to complete this particular phase of the project.

Project Completion Date Remains the Same

While the estimated construction completion date is July 8, there is now a need for additional bridge and ramp closures and detours so that the damage caused by a recent truck-bridge accident.

The work scheduled for the week of June 20-24 is not related to the needed repair work caused by the accident. That work will occur at the end of June or the beginning of July.

The Castle Pines North Master Association will publish any known detours and closures in advance so that travelers may plan their driving routes accordingly.
