The Lagae family has sold their approximately 600 acres, located south of Castle Pines Parkway and west of I-25, to Jack Vickers, III. Vickers is the original developer of Castle Pines Village and Castle Pines North.
The property sold consists of only the agriculturally-zoned parcel; it does not include the commercial portions of the Lagae property that boarder Castle Pines Parkway.
As of press time, Vickers has not announced any plans for developing the property. Before any development occurs, the County must approve rezoning the parcel to residential use. Re-zoning is a public process that can take from nine to 18 months.
Any future development on this property will have less density than Castle Pines North, as Douglas County's master plan limits the amount of homes on this parcel to less than 300.
