Rally for Referenda C & D hits Castle Pines North

The initiatives, Referenda C and D, are everywhere in the local media.  Business and community leaders are organizing The Colorado Walk in support of these two initiatives.  The Walk is a bipartisan effort that stretches across Colorado from Wyoming to New Mexico.

Castle Pines North residents can learn more about these issues Saturday, September 17 with a rally held at the CPN Community Center at 5 p.m.  Coloradans will vote on Referenda C and D this November.

The walk was in Denver on Thursday and Mayor John Hickenlooper spoke at a rally held on the west steps of the Capitol.  Then, sending the walkers on their way, Governor Bill Owens spoke from the Capitol Friday morning.  The walkers will arrive sometime today in Highlands Ranch and will head down Monarch Boulevard Saturday to arrive in CPN in time for the rally.

State Representative, Jim Sullivan and State Senate Majority Leader, Ken Gordon are expected to show support and attend the CPN rally.  The rally provides CPN residents a chance to hear why these initiatives are supported and ask questions.

The walkers began their trek at the Colorado/Wyoming border and will make their way across the state ending at the Colorado/New Mexico border.  To learn more about The Colorado Walk, visit their web site at www.thecoloradowalk.org.

A debate on these issues between Senator Tom Wiens and House Speaker Andrew Romanoff will be held at on September 26th in downtown Castle Rock.  Check back with www.cpnhoa.org for additional information.
