Despite many rainy days last summer and quite a few snowy days this winter, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) anticipates a completion date of June 15 for the new interchange at Castle Pines Parkway and
I-25.“The contractor is pushing hard for a June 15 completion date, but a month or so delay is not improbable,” says Nabil Haddad of CDOT.Most Castle Pines North residents have traveled on the new I-25 northbound off-ramp to Castle Pines Parkway, which opened to traffic on January 8. Since the opening, CDOT has reported no significant traffic problems on the new ramp, and says that traffic is flowing smoothly. In January, the CPN Master Association provided the community with e-mail alerts regarding highway closures caused by the demolition of the old Parkway bridge, and will continue to alert residents whenever traffic flow will be affected.
The Colorado Sate Patrol will continue to help direct traffic congestion during afternoon rush hour, and will be present until March or April.
