Construction crews will detour Castle Pines Parkway bridge traffic beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26 and ending at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27. There will also be I-25 lane closures during those hours, but not a complete highway shutdown.
The detours will be as follows:
· Vehicles wanting to travel north on I-25 from Castle Pines Parkway will have use the southbound ramp, travel to Happy Canyon, turn around, and travel north.
· Northbound I-25 vehicles wanting to exit at Castle Pines Parkway will have to travel north to Surrey Ridge, turn around, and then travel south to Castle Pines Parkway.
During the closure, concrete will be poured on the bridge deck.
“This should be the last major phase of the bridge replacement project, and hopefully the last bridge detour,” said Nabil Haddad of the Colorado Department of Transportation.
