Douglas County Schools: January Deadlines for Open Enrollment and Kindergarten Registration
Douglas County Kindergarten Registration for the 2005/2006 school
year is in January:
Buffalo Ridge - 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. each day
- Current families: 1/25 & 1/26;
- New families: 1/27 & 1/28;
Timber Trail -1/26 & 1/27, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Families who wish to enroll their child(ren) in a school other than their neighborhood school must complete an Open Enrollment Application and submit it to their school of choice. Open Enrollment Applications must be submitted to the school of choice by the January 31st deadline.

Douglas County's newest Charter School, American Academy, will hold their enrollment lottery on February 1st for the 2005/2006 school year. Enrollment applications must be turned in by midnight January 31 to qualify.
Residents wanting to learn more about the school can attend a parent information meeting at the Lone Tree Library on January 27th, at 7 p.m. To complete the intent to enroll application for American Academy, visit
