Castle Pines North families with children starting kindergarten in the 2006-2007 school year mark your calendars.  Timber Trail Elementary (TTE) and Buffalo Ridge Elementary (BRE) are enrolling kindergarteners the week of January 24. 

Children must be five-years-old by September 15 in order to be eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall.  Families with a kindergartener need to bring a copy of their child’s birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency (lease agreement, warranty deed, deed of trust, tax bill).  Parents unsure which neighborhood school to enroll at should contact the Student Records Office at 303-387-0020 or 303-387-0026. 

Buffalo Ridge Elementary

Families with students currently attending BRE can register kindergarteners January 24 and 25 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.  New families can register January 26 and 27 from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.  For questions contact BRE at 303-387-5575.

Timber Trail Elementary

Families currently attending TTE can register kindergarteners on January 24, 25 and 26 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.  New families can register on January 25 and 26. For questions contact TTE at 303-387-5700.

Open Enrollment

Residents in Douglas County are able to open enroll at any school of their choice within the district.  Should a family wish to send their child to a school other than the designated neighborhood school, an open enrollment application must be submitted with the Douglas County School District at 620 Wilcox in Castle Rock.  Open enrollment applications are accepted from December 1^st until February 1^st.   To obtain an application visit the DCSD website or call the district at 303-387-0100.
