The Castle Rock Recreation Center held grand opening celebrations for the new leisure pool on May 19 and 20, offering free swimming, prize drawings, games, and entertainment. The new facility boasts a multi-use leisure pool, lazy river, exterior water slides, splash down area, zero-depth entry, and interactive water features.

There is also a new family changing area and sauna. In addition to the new pool area, there have been other renovations and expansions throughout the Recreation Center. The exercise area has all new cardio and strength-training equipment, and the toddler area has been expanded to accommodate more preschool classes and activities.

The recreation center is located at 2301 N. Woodlands Blvd. in Castle Rock. Castle Pines North residents must pay "non-resident" fees since the community is not within the Town of Castle Rock. More information can be found at www.crgov.com/recreation.
