The morning of July 4th started with bright sunshine and the promise of a warm day. The streets were filled with wagons, bikes, scooters, strollers and pets all decked-out in red, white and blue in honor of the nation’s birthday. Many Castle Pines North (CPN) neighborhoods took the July 4th holiday as an opportunity to bring neighbors together and have some fun.
Celebrations happened throughout the day. Many CPN streets closed for parades, complete with fire trucks and lemonade stands. The fun continued at local pools with highly-contested water games for all ages. Bounce castles and face painters were a treat for many CPN children. In addition to the HOA sponsored parties, many other CPN neighbors spent the day gathering and grilling in backyards and cul-de-sacs.
Although the day proved perfect, much needed rain for the area arrived by evening, canceling many of the Metro area professional fire works displays. To view pictures submitted from CPN’s July 4th celebration, visit the website at www.cpnhoa.org.
