Castle Rock, Col., (July 5, 2006) - -The Castle Pines North Master Association will present “Coexisting with Wildlife in Castle Pines North,” on Tuesday, July 18, at 7 p.m., at the Castle Pines North (CPN) Community Center, 7404 Yorkshire Drive.

Crystal Petersen of the Colorado Division of Wildlife will present common sense safety tips and simple guidelines for living among many creatures. Douglas County Emergency Management Director Jamie Moore will also present helpful information.

The CPN Master Association coordinated this seminar following numerous sightings of mountain lions in the community.  The CPN Master Association is working closely with the Colorado Division of Wildlife to communicate all reported sightings of lions for possible relocation.

Castle Pines North is a unique community surrounded by more than 560 acres of open space and borders Daniel’s Park, Cherokee Ranch, the “backcountry” open space portion of Highlands Ranch and the Glendale Farms open space. Wildlife commonly seen in the area include deer, elk, fox, coyotes, owls, hawks, mountain lions, bobcats, and porcupines.

The seminar is open to all residents in Castle Pines North and surrounding areas including Castle Pines, Surrey Ridge, Charter Oaks and Happy Canyon.

More information about CPN and the CPN Master Association can be found at www.cpnhoa.org.
