Nighthawk Night Silent Auction Raises Thousands

More than $27,000 was raised for RHMS during the Nighthawk Night Silent Auction on November 4, 2006. The money raised will help with technology in the classrooms. More than 500 parents and students attended the fun family event sponsored by The Claim Jumper and Flying Horse Catering.

The auction committee was comprised of Lisa Spies, Cindy Harper, Melissa Howard, Dezi Kappes, Karen Mansfield, Debbie Packer, Linda Ruh and Karen Wellman, and the event was emceed by Tom Green, morning news anchor from News2 This Morning.

RHPCA – February and March Meetings

The Rocky Heights Parent Community Alliance (RHPCA) holds monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. Parents are invited to attend and are encouraged to get involved with the school. Meeting locations vary, so parents are asked to meet in the main office. The February and March meeting dates are as follows:

Tuesday, February 20 - 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday, March 20 - 1:30 p.m.

Cartridges for Kids

Cartridges for Kids earns money for RHMS’s general fund to aid teachers and students, primarily to pay for classroom materials and field trip fees for students who may not otherwise be able to attend. Save used ink cartridges, laptops, cell phones and palm pilots and bring to the main office. Items are picked up on the second Tuesday of each month. eScrip Merchant Reward Program

Register credit cards and grocery cards at www.escrip.com and earn money for RHMS from local and national merchants. Provide the RHMS group code (500004464) and the savings will be automatic.

Box Tops for Education

RHMS participates with the Box Tops for Education program. Simply clip box tops from participating General Mills items and return to the main office. Box Tops are submitted quarterly and proceeds are placed into the RHPCA reserve account. For more information, visit www.boxtops4education.com.

Dreamcatcher Travel
