Social Committee Chairperson Needed

Your HOA 2 community still needs a Chairperson for the Social Committee. This person reports to the Board and would be responsible for overseeing the social committee for the planning and carrying out of the community social functions during the coming year. In the past we have had several very nice parties, such as the Teenage Swim Party, July 4th Celebration, Adult Luau and Children’s Christmas Party. Several current committee members have indicated they would like to work with a chairperson to provide these functions. We may have to cancel some or all of these community parties if we don’t have someone come forward. Please consider this opportunity. Mark your calendar and help neighbors celebrate the opening of the HOA2 pool on May 26 with a family pool party. Watch for e-mails with further details.

2007 Swim Team

A proposal has been brought before the board to have the Castle Crocs Swim Team and the Castle Pines Piranhas combined into one team under management by the parent run board of the Castle Crocs. With two teams practicing in the community last summer the Piranhas had a significantly smaller team and it was felt that combining the two teams would provide more opportunities for the swimmers of the Piranhas as well as better organization of the team.

The cost to join the Crocs is comparable to the cost of the Piranhas. The main difference being the registration fee for the Castle Crocs goes directly to the team, which is managed by the volunteer parent board. The requirements to join the Castle Crocs are the same as the requirements of the Piranhas. Swimmers ages 18 and younger who can swim the length of the pool unassisted are welcome to join.

The board is asking residents to please notify the HOA 2 pool committee with any questions or if there are concerns for combining these two teams. The pool committee can be reached at .

Landscaping repairs

The Board was advised by Hallmark Associates that it is likely that our common area landscaping will need repair after the snow has totally melted. Some sod as well as sprinkler heads were surely damaged by snow plowing this winter.

Pet Owners

Hallmark also advised the Board that they are seeing an increase in dog droppings. The Board asks that all pet owners please pick up after their dogs and use the trashcans located at several points in the community to dispose of these droppings in a safe and clean way. Thank you for being considerate of your neighbors.
