The Hidden Pointe Homeowner’s Association (HOA) serves 215 homes in Castle Pines North (CPN). Homes are a combination of Richmond, Sanford and custom estates from a variety of builders.

Hidden Pointe, located off Hidden Pointe Boulevard, contracts directly with CPN Metro District for water and recently became full voting members of the Master Association.

The HOA enjoys high attendance from active residents. Hidden Pointe has seven board members and three committees—architectural and design review, grounds and social.

The HOA is looking for interested residents in the Hidden Pointe community to fill four board positions which expire in June.

Rick Shafer, president of the HOA has served for three years. The community landscaping project is in full bloom. (See article on page 7.) Without raising dues to the homeowners, the HOA has a financial commitment from the Hidden Pointe Metropolitan District to help fund the project.

Hidden Pointe is the only neighborhood within CPN with its own Metropolitan District.  Voters in Hidden Pointe approved a ballot measure last year to expand the services available from the Metropolitan District to include landscaping improvements and maintenance. 

“Currently, the board is examining how the CPN incorporation effort will impact property taxes, water rates, community services and property values so we can provide accurate information to our homeowners as
this issue moves closer to an election,” said Jeff Huff,
Hidden Pointe board member. 

The HOA will sponsor its eighth annual Fourth of July Party for residents this summer. The day begins with an early morning fun run through the streets of Hidden Pointe followed by a bike parade for the kids. Food, beverages, jumping castle, family games and activities, and a special appearance by South Metro Fire Rescue will be held at Coyote Ridge Park later that day.  This party is the highest attended event of the year.

In years past, the social committee has hosted Halloween Hot Houses to keep trick-or-treaters warm and full of hot chocolate during their rounds. A progressive holiday party is an annual event with four homes hosting 30-minute segments of merrymaking. The first home hosts a holiday craft. The next house, letters to Santa and letters to our troops serving overseas are written. Gifts are wrapped for donation to a charity in the third home and lastly, everyone meets Santa and letters to the troops are mailed.
