Independence Day Celebrations and Firework Displays

Celebrate this magnificent day with stars and stripes, music, parades, and fireworks displays.  Here are a few ideas to help plan your celebration.

Baseball and Fireworks

The Colorado Rockies will host the New York Mets on July 3 and July 4 at Coors Field in downtown Denver.  There will be a spectacular fireworks display on both evenings.  For more information, visit www.rockies.mlb.com.

Highlands Ranch Town Center July 4
Celebration

Located between Broadway and Lucent on Highlands Ranch Parkway, The Highlands Ranch Town Center will host activities and fun from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 4.  Enjoy live music by Deja Blu and Something Underground and much more.  A fireworks display is planned to begin at about 9:15 p.m.  For more information, visit www.hrcaonline.org.

Hudson Gardens’ Firefall and Fireworks Show
On Tuesday, July 3, enjoy great live music followed by a fireworks display.  Colorado based band, Firefall, performs mellow, easy, sounds.  Gates open at 5 p.m. and the concert begins at 7 p.m.  For more information, visit www.hudsongardens.org.  

The Liberty Festival

The Liberty Festival will be held in our own backyard at the Douglas County Fairgrounds on July 4.  Enjoy live music, including Chris Daniels and the Kings, food, kid’s activities, exhibits and more.  This free event begins at 4 p.m. and the evening ends with a fireworks display at 10 p.m.  For more information, visit www.castlerocklibertyfestival.com

Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration at The Meadows

Just south and a little west of Castle Pines North is Butterfield Park in the Meadows.  From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 4, celebrate with food, games, bouncy castles and more.  Take I-25 south to Meadows Parkway and head west.  Turn right onto Meadows Boulevard and Butterfield Park will be straight ahead.  The event is open to the public and all ages are welcome.  For more information, visit www.meadowslink.com.
