In September, Centennial Airport announced it anticipates completion of the Part 150 Noise Study contour maps in October, at which time they will go back to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for approval.

The maps depict various noise thresholds (70Db at the high end to 50Db at the low end.) They are based on aircraft mix and traffic assumptions developed years ago, and therefore are periodically updated. Following approval, the FAA will file notice in the Federal Register and open a 180-day public comment period.

This 180-day public input period provides the first 60 days for citizen feedback to the FAA on the Part 150 Noise Study and to register complaints about airport noise.

The Castle Pines North Master Association will notify the community when this period is to begin and where to file comments. Information on the Part 150 Study and its recommendations is available at www.centennialairport.com/part150.htm.
