All mail ballots must be signed by the registered voter on the outside of the return envelope. This allows election officials to confirm voter registration records to ensure the ballot was submitted by an eligible elector who has not previously voted in the election.
Voters who are uncomfortable with mailing a ballot with their signature on the outside of the envelope may return their ballots to the Douglas County Clerk and Recorder Elections Office at 301 Wilcox Street in Castle Rock.
To make sure a vote is counted, all mail ballots must be received no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day. A ballot with a November 6 postmark will not count. Please call 303-660-7444 for more information.
