WHAT: Douglas County Sheriff Brings “Child Safety Day” to the Castle Pines North ‘October Fest’
NARRATIVE: DOUGLAS COUNTY: The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has been invited for the second year in a row to participate in the ‘October Fest’ event that is being put on by the Castle Pines North Businesses and the Castle Pines North Community. This event will occur on Saturday, October 13, 2007, 11:00 am 3:00 pm at the Castle Pines North Business Square.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will be there in full force. They will be bringing out many of their new vehicles and equipment to show to the children and their parents. Some of the displays will include: SWAT Team, motorcycle team, K9 team, detentions van, Race-A-Cop car, bomb truck, hazardous materials truck, the mobile command post, McGruff the Crime Dog, Douglas County Parks, Animal Control Services, and many more exciting things.
“We have been putting on ‘Child Safety Day’ for many years and I feel that this type of event provides a great avenue to build a stronger relationship between the citizens of the County and the Sheriff’s Office. It is a great way to showcase what it takes to be a deputy sheriff while providing great child safety information to the public”, stated Sheriff Dave Weaver.
