City of Castle Pines North City Council Ward 2 Lillian Gonzalez
What have been your contributions to the Castle Pines North community? My husband and I live in CPN and our two children attend CPN schools. I have been a classroom and Girl Scout volunteer and kindergarten soccer coach. I served as a community representative on the CPN stakeholder group regarding the development of the Lagae Ranch and how CPN can leverage that development to benefit the entire community. I served as president of the Beverly Hills Mutual Water Company, a water provider that uses the same aquifer as CPN to provide water to 100 homes adjacent to CPN. I led the Beverly Hills board through all aspects of drilling a new well including contracting, permitting, land acquisition, justification of water rights, and shareholder involvement. What qualifications would you bring to this position? I have over 20 years of experience in water and environmental management. I work for an environmental consulting firm located in the DTC and assist businesses navigate through complex EPA regulations involving drinking water, storm water and wastewater. I hold an undergraduate degree in chemistry and a master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver. I believe that securing a renewable water source is the most important CPN issue and want to use my background to help my community and would appreciate your support. |
