City of Castle Pines North City Council Ward 2 Kim Hoffman
What have been your contributions to the Castle Pines North community? I have volunteered at Timber Trail, sponsored CPN social events, have been a delegate for Bristle Cone and am a member of Business in the Pines. I was actively involved in challenging the CC-20 development to eliminate seven large commercial lots that would have drastically reduced property values for CPN. I helped organize a petition campaign that persuaded Village Homes to rezone the parcel and eliminate big box retail. As a Master Association Board member my goals continue to compliment the leaders of CPN with responsible government while protecting property values through communication and eliminating self-promotion. I walked door-to-door and held neighborhood meetings to educate residents on the incorporation issues. I am an alternate on the Parks Authority Board representing the Master Association. What qualifications would you bring to this position? As a businesswoman who understands the importance of property values, I can bring knowledge of development, zoning, financial operations, securing renewable water, all of which will protect the value of our new city. My experience on the CPN Master Association has given me the distinct advantage of being part of the incorporation effort and hearing concerns of residents firsthand. Listening to residents of our city would be my top priority. |
