City of Castle Pines North Treasurer Paul Oehm
What have been your contributions to the Castle Pines North community? HOA1 Board as Treasurer 2002 to 2004. Assisted HOA1 Board with an independent analysis of Reserve Fund Study. Served on Legal Issues Task Force when the CPN community faced bankruptcy in early 1990’s. Coached baseball, basketball and soccer teams in the CPN community for last 10 years. What qualifications would you bring to this position? Above all, honesty, integrity and pride in our community. I have seen the CPN community survive bankruptcy, struggle and then become one of the more desirable communities in the Denver Metro area. The importance of independent and complete financial information for the decision-making process of our new city cannot be understated. My 25 years work experience includes accounting, auditing, tax and litigation support as CPA with public accounting firms, a private corporation and business and litigation-consulting firms. It was imperative to present independent and complete financial information for year-end financials, special projects or analyzing the pros and cons of litigating. For the past six years, I have consulted with homeowners on their home financing needs. I care about this community and our home values, as I own two homes here. This community will require independent and complete financial information to make important decisions regarding the city’s infrastructure, water supply and further development. |
